Very nice tribute!  I especially like the light green color and the butterflies.  It has a calming effect.  I hope your memories are gentle.  Know that he is with your always.

Greeting to Jean and Franklin...  / Faye Martin (POS Friend )
Dear Jean and Franklin,

It was great visiting your Freeman's memorial site and seeing all his photos.  His little daughter is so beautiful.  Such a loss....if only our children had known how much the world needed them.

I very much enjoyed meeting you both in Pavo.  I've looked for you at every retreat since then.  Sorry you couldn't come.  Don't let the distance to Tennessee stop you from coming to the next one.  We would all love to see you again.

BTW, the willow tree is growing very well and is getting tall and strong.  Thank you for your hard work in planting it.  We have all taken rocks with our children's names to put under the tree.  Maybe before Karyl moves you could take a rock to her for Freeman to be put under the next tree in Tennessee.

We also put stepping stones around the Pavilion.  You can bring one of those with your angel's name on it, too.

God bless you both.  I think of you often and wonder how you're doing.  I hope to see you again on this earth.

With love,
Faye Martin, mother of Lisa forever

Always Remembered.......  / Argia M. Caines (Someone Holding You Close To Heart )
Dear Jean:
What a beautiful tribute to your precious Freeman. Such a good looking young man. He should be here walking this earth. I remember my first retreat and looking at his tiny little shoes that you brought.  I will always picture them in my mind. It gave me a thought of such a happy little vibrant boy. I wish Freeman to have all the peace and comfort he so sought here on earth. This truly is beautiful and I thank you for sharing  your Freeman with us.

Freeman,

I did not know you personally, but I have had the pleasure of meeting your family, and your daugher Tia.  If I could say one thing it would be that "FAMILY" is the most precious gift that GOD gives next to life itself.  Always rely on "FAMILY" in time of need.

A New Strength  / Jackie Henry (auntie)
There are times in every life when we feel hurt or alone...
But I believe that these times  when we feel lost and all
around us seems to be falling apart are really bridges of
growth.  We struggle and try to recapture the security of
what was, but almost in spite  of ourselves, we emerge
on the other side with a new understanding, a new aware-
ness, a new strength.  It is almost as though the pain and
the struggle in order to grow and reach new heights.  Today
Freeman, I think about all of the people who love you, who saw
the beauty in you,and we began to look at ourselves in the
same way.  You are miss and will forever be in my heart.

Love,
Auntie Jackie Close

Through Your Eyes  / Jean Roberts (Mother)
                                     Through Your Eyes

Through your eyes I see pain
I see more than my heart can bear
I see confusion, I see heartache
If you only knew how much I care

Through your beautiful eyes
I see sadness and so much sorrow
Beyond the lonely nights and darkness
Waiting for you was a brighter tomorrow

I see loneliness in your eyes
I've always been there from the start
Through the good and sad times
You will forever beat in my heart

I see you happy and laughing
I treasure your smile, your tears
I often think of your sadness
So blessed we had the years

I will always see through your eyes
Your sensitivity, your love for all
Doubt and fears, I tried to erase
I love you and tried to ease your fall

Through your wandering eyes, I see
Your life so simple, yet so complicated
I see someone so misunderstood
My child, you were so appreciated

Through your bright eyes
I see happiness, I see sunshine
Such a carefree spirit
"Hold it Down," was your line

I see someone gone from this world
So dearly missed by young and old
Someone who had so much to give
I close my eyes, so much to behold

I see clearly, someone who cares
You often told me not ro worry
So free hearted and kind was you
I will forever greive, I am so sorry

I see you so peaceful in your stillness
You will always be in our lives and hearts
A void we feel, your family and friends
Forever in our memories, never will we part

Oh my beloved Son,
Through your adorable eyes
I see a much loved grandson
A playful and gentle father
I feel your spirit, I see my son

Love,
Jean
